Nia had a board meeting in New York in the morning. At five o’clock she was still at her desk in the City.
Her AI companion had been watching the roads, so it moved her car forward. The day before, it had shared her face with the airport and the border, and nothing more. Her flight slipped twenty minutes; she didn’t check, because she trusted it to tell her when to go. The shopping she’d meant to do was paid for and waiting on the way to the gate. In New York, it told her which platform, and seat 14A was hers.
